INGROWING NAILS

At times the nail seems to press on the tissue that surrounds it giving rise to severe pain at the nail fold. This is most commonly seen on the toe nail. If severe, a portion of the nail will need to be surgically removed to resolve the issue.

  • A painful recurrent condition.
  • Can be surgically treated.

DISCOLORED NAILS

The colour of the nail is often an indicator of the general health of a person. Severe illnesses may leave tell-tale signs on the nails. Apart from these a few infections may even give rise to discoloration of the nails too! It is always better to consult a doctor if any changes are noted on the nails.

  • May look greenish or yellow in colour.
  • A sign of ill-health.

RECURRANT NAIL INFECTION

Nail-fold infections are commonly seen in women. Constant wet work and use of strong detergents only add to the problem.

  • A common problem in women.
  • At times pain and pus accumulation may also occur.
